Dr. Sunita Mishra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. Prior to that, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow in SIMLab, CASA: Center for Advanced Structural Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. She has completed her Ph.D. in the area of Rock Dynamics from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India.

My present research focuses on the following:
 

  1. Size Effect and Scale Effect in Brittle Materials: Rock, Concrete, Ceramics.

  2. Experimental Techniques under Dynamic Loading

  3. Rock Dynamics and Fracture Propagation in Rocks.

  4. Artificial Intelligence in Rock Dynamics

  5. Blast and Ballistic Loading.

  6. Machine Vibration and Isolators

  7. Rock and Tool Interaction
